  • How do I create an account with HOMEBOY?
    Simply follow the instructions on the HOMEBOY homepage. Click on "Sign Up" and create an account to start receiving offers. After creating your account, your 7 day trial automatically starts and you can create your first search profile. That's when you can start receiving offers from HOMEBOY!   • What's a search profile and can I change them?
    You can create and find your search profiles in your HOMEBOY account. With a search profile you specify, what kind of home you are looking for. Your search profiles can always be edited and saved, but you only receive offers if you have an active HOMEBOY account. Also make sure to confirm your email address or type "start" into the WhatsApp chat to start receiving offers. Find the search profile section here.
  • How often will I receive email or WhatsApp listings for properties from HOMEBOY?
    This depends very much on your search criteria. The more specific your search criteria, the more focused and tailored the results for your search will be. You will receive an email or WhatsApp message for each offer from each platform that matches your search criteria. We don't send them in batches because we want to get the best deals to you as quickly as possible.
  • In which geographic regions can I search for a home with HOMEBOY?
    You can only search in Germany. Ideally you use postal codes in your search profiles for optimum results.
  • What types of property can I search for with HOMEBOY (e.g. residential, commercial, holiday rentals)?
    You can search for any type of long-term property including apartments and houses. The traditional search profile options are: Push Service: Email or WhatsApp Rent or Buy Apartment or House Budget Living Area Size Rooms Postcode Radius In your search settings, you can be more specific, such as 'short-term rentals', 'premium offers, 'WBS offers (flats with Wohnberechtigungsschein,' and 'flat share offers'.
  • How do I change or cancel my HOMEBOY subscription?
    It's super easy and only two clicks away! Simply login to your account, go to 'Subscriptions' and choose the subscription you want to cancel. Then click on 'Cancel Subscription'. Your subscription renews every 1, 2 or 3 months. You can cancel the renewal anytime and your subscription runs out until the end of your last purchase. It's very easy and convenient.
  • Can I set up email alerts for more than one email address?
    Yes, you can! Homeboy allows you to save an individual email address for each search profile. This allows you to either search alone and receive all messages in all your inboxes, or share your search profiles with your future room mate or partner with whom you are moving together.
  • I'm receiving offers that don't match my search. Why is that?
    At HOMEBOY we always try to be as accurate as possible, but finding the exact offers that match your search is not always that easy. Our general approach is, that we rather send you one wrong offer too many than one correct one too few. We don't take any responsibility for the accuracy or relevance of the property listings as we only forward what is shown on the different market places that matches your search criteria. If a result has a completely different geographic area than your search profile, feel free to contact us.
  • Is my personal information safe when I use HOMEBOY? What privacy measures do you have in place?

  • Does HOMEBOY automatically apply for me, once a new offer comes in?
    We only bring you 'to the door', you have to knock on your own, since personal applications are a lot more welcome with landlords than from some online service. We send you the offers with the general information and a link to the respective platform. You have to contact the property owner on the same platform as the listing is on. We recommend you to have a complete profile on each real estate portal that you want to take into consideration. The better prepared your profile is on the respective market place, the faster you can apply on it for your dream home.
  • What kind of customer support can I expect if I have any problems or questions while using HOMEBOY?

  • Are there any additional fees or charges over and above the subscription cost?

    Unfortunately you can't pause your subscription, but that's why you can get Homeboy in such short intervals instead of long term subscriptions. If you need a break from all the push notifications, you can de-activate your searches on your Account > Search Profile Section. This will deactivate your messages until you activate it again. Your subscription renews every 1, 2 or 3 months. You can cancel the renewal anytime and your subscription runs out until the end of your last purchase.
  • How is HOMEBOY different from other property search engines or platforms?

Your subscription will always renew in one of these intervals, until you cancel it. Once you have canceled it, your term will run out and the offers stop coming in. This keeps you 100% flexible and keeps it fair. There are no long-term obligations.
